The American Flag Killifish, also known as Fundulus cingulatus, is a popular freshwater fish species among aquarists due to their stunning coloration and easy maintenance. These fish are native to the southeastern United States and prefer slow-moving waters with vegetation and sandy bottoms.

The American Flag Killifish is a small fish, with a maximum size of 2.5 inches, and requires a minimum tank size of 20 gallons. They are active swimmers and appreciate plenty of hiding places and plants in the aquarium. They are also peaceful and can be kept with other small, peaceful species.

These carnivorous fish will eat a variety of live and frozen foods, including brine shrimp, bloodworms, and small insects. It's important to provide a varied diet to ensure they receive all the necessary nutrients for optimal health.

The American Flag Killifish's unique characteristic is their stunning coloration, which includes a bright blue stripe running along their body and a red, white, and blue striped tail. Their peaceful nature and small size make them a great addition to any community aquarium.
