The Assassin Snail, also known as Clea helena, is a unique and interesting species of snail that is highly valued in the aquarium hobby. These snails are characterized by their cone-shaped shell and distinctive yellow and black stripes.

Originating from Southeast Asia, the Assassin Snail requires a well-maintained aquarium with clean water and a substrate that is suitable for burrowing. They prefer a tank size of at least 10 gallons and can grow up to 1 inch in length. These snails are peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive species.

The Assassin Snail is primarily a carnivore and will eat a variety of snails, including pest snails like the Malaysian Trumpet Snail. They are also known to eat other small invertebrates and may occasionally eat small fish fry.

One of the most unique characteristics of the Assassin Snail is their ability to lay their eggs above the water line, which helps to prevent the eggs from being eaten by other fish and invertebrates in the aquarium.
